Pioneer Community Hospital of Patrick County formerly known as R.J. Reynolds Memorial Hospital of Patrick County was built in 1962. As a critical access hospital, PCH of Patrick County offers a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services to the citizens of Stuart and Patrick County, Virginia.
The hospital is fully licensed by Virginia's Department of Health and certified by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). A staff of highly qualified physicians, nurses, technicians and therapists is dedicated to your healthcare needs and to making your hospital stay as pleasant as possible.Inpatient services include a 25-bed medical surgical unit for acute care and observation patients as well as a post-acute restorative care "Swing Bed" program. A 24-hour emergency room provides around the clock treatment for minor ailments to life threatening conditions. Ancillary services for both inpatients and outpatients include surgery, laboratory, radiology, respiratory and rehabilitation therapies. The hospital also offers outpatient geriatric behavioral health and diabetes management programs.
